Check Out These Vancouver Farmers’ Markets

Spring is underway, which means farmers’ market season has returned to Vancouver! Whether you’re looking for fresh produce, homemade honey, or handcrafted gift items, you can’t go wrong with any of the local farmers’ markets below.

Kitsilano Farmers’ Market

The Kitsilano Farmers’ Market is a pillar of the community and is set up right outside the Kitsilano Community Centre. It is considered to be one of the best farmers’ markets in the Lower Mainland and it typically runs from the beginning of May until the third weekend of October. Open on Sundays only, this market has upwards of 50 vendors at one time and is packed with fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, meat, and cheese. The Kitsilano Farmers’ Market also has plenty of organic and handmade artisanal products.

Ambleside Artisan Farmers’ Market

Head over to West Vancouver for the Ambleside Artisan Farmers’ Market. This medium-sized market is set up every Sunday in Ambleside Park from the beginning of May to the beginning of November. The market is open from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on Sundays and has anywhere from 40 to 70 vendors depending on the day. You can expect to find everything from produce, jams, and preserves to crepes, honey, spirits, jewellery, and more.

Lonsdale Quay Artisan Farmers’ Market

The Lonsdale Quay Artisan Farmers’ Market has returned, and will be running every Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm until October. While this farmers’ market is smaller than most others in Vancouver (with roughly a dozen vendors each weekend), it’s still a lovely one to stroll though. Plus, it’s in an unbeatable location, only a stone’s throw away from Lonsdale Quay Public Market. Between the two markets, you can get all your Saturday shopping done in one place.

If you’re visiting Vancouver this spring or summer, then be sure to visit as many farmers’ markets as you can. And if you need a place to stay during your visit, we’d love for you to consider a stay at the Georgian Court Hotel. We combine luxurious amenities and affordable rates with an incredible location in the heart of Vancouver.
