If you’re spending the holidays with us here at the Georgian Court Hotel Vancouver, you’re in luck. With our convenient location, right in the heart of downtown, you’re within walking distance of some of the best Christmas activities and attractions this city has to offer. Take a look at what’s nearby!

Vancouver Christmas Market

Done up like a traditional European Christmas market with thousands of twinkling lights, festive music, and artisan vendors, the Vancouver Christmas Market has become a beloved holiday tradition since it first opened 10 years ago. Sip on mulled wine as you browse stalls selling handmade toys, knits, soaps, festive decor, and much more. Make a pit stop for some chocolate eclairs, a salty pretzel, or many other sweet and savory delicacies from around the world.

The Robson Square 12 Days of Christmas

Enjoy a wintertime classic (and a Vancouver tradition!) at Robson Square’s outdoor skating rink. Admission is completely free and skate rentals are just $5 if you don’t have your own. And, after you've successfully done a triple lutz jump, venture down Robson Street to enjoy some retail therapy in one of the city’s most popular shopping districts.

Christmas at Canada Place

Celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year, Christmas at Canada Place is a magical experience for all ages. Along with Chrismoose—a 15-foot tall moose light sculpture—and the iconic brightly coloured Sails of Lights are the nostalgic Woodward’s Windows of yesteryear, incorporated as a special part of the exhibition. Handcrafted in the 1960s, the windows were originally assembled for Vancouver’s Woodwards department store's annual displays featuring the Candlestick Factory, Santa’s Workshop, and the Lamplighter. Canada Place purchased these wonderful pieces of nostalgia in 1993 after the department store had closed its' doors. Now you can visit and experience a treasured part of Vancouver's history.

After all the holiday festivities are done with, make your reservations at the Georgian Court Hotel Vancouver for a sublime boutique hotel experience. Along with being conveniently located to attractions and entertainment venues, our upscale accommodations also have impressive on-site amenities (including a hot tub and infrared sauna, fitness centre, in-room dining services ) and a wide variety of luxurious guest rooms, executive suites, and penthouse suites to choose from.
