Title: Sales Manager

Are you a committed self starter who is always inspired to do your best? The Georgian Court Hotel is seeking a motivated, results driven and dynamic Sales Manager. 

The primary function is to actively prospect and secure new business.  You will also focus on increasing business levels from established accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attract and generate new business and continually seek new opportunities
• Maintain rapport with existing client base
• Keep accurate records of potential customers and follow through on all potential business
• Meet and exceed individual and Hotel revenue goals
• Quote and negotiate rates within established parameters, manage pricing and rooms inventory to maximize revenue and profits
• Work with the Director of Sales to establish annual goals as well as the sales and marketing plan to achieve these goals
• Coordinate and participate in hotel tours, FAMs and industry/trade functions & shows
• Knowledge of the competition and be able to leverage hotel’s features and benefits against each
• Understand current market trends, anticipate changes and adapt to those changes
• Prepare weekly Sales Reports
• Actively participate in regular Sales and Revenue meetings
• Plan, execute and follow up on quality sales trips to assigned feeder markets and attend tradeshows on a regular basis
• Majority of the time out of Hotel performing sales calls and prospecting for new accounts
• Create and maintain excellent guest and client relationships through attention to detail

 Job Requirements:

• A proven track record in cultivating business relationships and strong prospecting skills
• A minimum 1-2 years of hotel sales management experience
• Strong hospitality and customer service background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• A demonstrated commitment to superior customer service
• Excellent business to business skills to help foster leads
• Proactive sales approach, assertive, fast-paced, and driven to succeed
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Must be able to travel and may be required to work evenings and weekends if necessary
• Positive and energetic team player to serve as hotel representative for clients, while motivating team members to provide highest quality customer service to ensure Hotel success
